Along with permitting a stay of up to 90 days in Japan, the visa allows easier access to multiple destinations, cutting down on additional visa applications and processing time.

A valid Japan visa enables Indian travellers to visit at least seven countries, subject to specific conditions on stay duration and documentation.

Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan

Indian passport holders can travel to the Philippines for 14 days with a valid Japan visa, with an option to extend the stay by seven days. A passport with at least six months’ validity and a return or onward ticket are required.


Singapore allows Indian travellers to enter under the Visa Free Transit Facility for up to 96 hours, provided the Japan visa is valid for at least one month and an onward ticket is available.

Taiwan permits entry through the ROC Travel Authorisation Certificate. Travellers can stay for up to 14 days at a time, with multiple entries allowed within a 90-day period, subject to meeting documentation requirements.
