India has done away with the mandatory rule of submitting Air Suvidha forms for international passengers.

Government authorities on Monday announced that international passengers will not have to submit the declaration forms, beginning midnight, 22nd November.

A notice from the Civil Aviation ministry read, "In the light of sustained declining COVID-19 trajectory and significant advances being made in COVID-19 vaccination coverage both globally as well as in India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has issued revised 'Guidelines for International Arrivals".

Air Suvidha was a self declaration form which was introduced as Covid prevention measure and was meant to understand contact tracing during the Covid 19 pandemic.

It was a contactless solution by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Ministry of Health Family Welfare, which is facilitated by Delhi Airport for all international passengers coming to India.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the decision to discontinue the self-deceleration will begin from 22 November.
