IndiGo launches daily non-stop flights between Mumbai and London's Heathrow

IndiGo has started daily, non-stop flights between Mumbai and London’s Heathrow Airport, marking a key milestone in its plan to expand its global network. The service is operated using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft in a dual-class configuration, Economy and IndiGoStretch, the airline’s tailor-made business product.

The flight service connects two major global financial centres, Mumbai and London, strengthening air travel links between India and the United Kingdom. Heathrow, one of the busiest airports worldwide, holds strategic significance for airlines seeking global connectivity.

IndiGo’s entry into Heathrow is a major step in its international expansion, offering Indian travellers more options to fly directly to London and further destinations through its codeshare network. Travellers from London will also gain access to IndiGo’s domestic network of over 90 destinations across India.

Expanding long-haul international network

IndiGo has been expanding its long-haul international services under its strategy “towards new heights, across new frontiers.” The airline recently launched routes to Copenhagen, Amsterdam, and Manchester. Its long-haul services offer upgraded in-flight experiences, including complimentary hot meals and beverages, alcoholic drinks for purchase in Economy (and complimentary for IndiGoStretch passengers), seatback entertainment screens, and enhanced comfort features.

With the new Mumbai-London service, IndiGo strengthens its position as India’s largest carrier while advancing towards its goal of becoming a global airline connecting India to major international hubs.
