Indian travellers can now use UPI to pay at Singapore’s Resorts World Sentosa

Indian travellers can now use their preferred UPI apps to book and pay online for experiences at Singapore’s Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), following a partnership between NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL) and Singapore-based payment institution FOMO Pay.

The partnership, announced at the Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai on September 9, will also expand UPI acceptance across participating merchants in FOMO Pay’s network.

RWS is among the first merchants to go live. Indian visitors can use UPI on the resort’s official website, to book attractions and other experiences before travelling to Singapore.


Singapore welcomed 1.2 million Indian visitors in 2025, highlighting the importance of easier payment options for travellers from India.

UPI expands across Singapore

Resorts World Sentosa is home to attractions including Universal Studios Singapore, the Singapore Oceanarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark. It also offers hotels, dining, retail and entertainment experiences.

The partnership will give Singapore merchants access to India’s large digital consumer base. It is also expected to support faster payments, improved cash-flow management and lower dependence on physical currency.

RWS adds UPI payment option

The tie-up further expands UPI’s international acceptance and NIPL’s efforts to help Indian consumers use familiar payment services while travelling overseas.
