Indians can now travel to 56 countries without prior visa: Check the list of nations

India’s passport has moved up to the 75th position in the latest Henley Passport Index from 85th last year, giving Indian citizens visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 56 countries, according to the index. The improvement reflects wider travel access for Indian passport holders, though the country remains below its highest-ever rank of 71st achieved in 2006.

The Henley Passport Index ranks passports by the number of destinations their holders can enter without obtaining a visa in advance. A higher rank indicates greater global mobility.

Indian passport holders can now travel without a prior visa to several destinations across Asia, Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific.
