Next time you fly to the United States with a stopover in Abu Dhabi, you can get your immigration clearance out of the way before you board your flight to the US.
The United Arab Emirates is one of only six countries in the world where you will be able to complete all your immigration processes before your flight to the United States.
This means, once you land in the States, you will be processed as domestic rather than international arrivals, which will allows you to skip on-arrival customs and security checks, and go directly to any connecting flights.
The service is available at Abu Dhabi International Airport on Etihad flights to New York, Washington and Chicago, and allows passengers to clear security, customs and immigration before getting on flights.
Apart from the UAE, this service is also offered for passengers flying out of Ireland, Aruba, the Bahamas, Canada and Bermuda.
