FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets back on sale as last phase opens for all matches

With 50 days left for the 2026 World Cup, FIFA reopened ticket sales on Wednesday under its last-minute phase. Tickets for all 104 matches will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

FIFA said it has already sold more than five million tickets out of a total expected supply of just over six million. The tournament will begin on June 11 and will be held across the United States, Mexico and Canada.

“At the start of sale, tickets will be available across categories 1 to 3 and the front-row seat categories, depending on the match,” FIFA said. “Along with this set of tickets, additional tickets will continue to be released to the public on an ongoing basis up until the final on Sunday, 19 July (subject to availability).”

The latest phase comes amid criticism over high ticket prices. A group of US lawmakers had last month urged FIFA to reduce costs, stating that dynamic pricing has made the event less accessible to fans.

In December, FIFA introduced a limited number of $60 “Supporter Entry Tier” tickets to improve affordability for fans of qualified teams. These tickets account for 10% of allocations for Participating Member Associations.

FIFA clarified that it is using variable pricing, where prices may change based on demand and availability, instead of dynamic pricing that adjusts automatically. This method was used in the initial sales phases and is being reintroduced for the final round.

Ticket sales will begin at 11:00 am ET (1500 GMT) on Wednesday.
