Planning a Europe trip is now easier for Indian travellers as MakeMyTrip has expanded its Tours & Attractions platform to include some of the continent’s most popular activities and experiences. Travellers can now search, plan and book key European attractions in one place and pay in Indian Rupees, removing the need to use multiple websites or foreign currencies.

To make this possible, MakeMyTrip has partnered with several global operators known for Europe’s most visited experiences. These include Merlin Entertainments, which runs attractions such as the London Eye, Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE aquariums; Jungfrau Railway Group, known for its train journey to the ‘Top of Europe’ in Switzerland; Rail Europe, which offers train tickets across Europe including the Swiss Travel Pass; and Big Bus Tours, which operates open-top sightseeing buses in cities such as London, Paris and Rome.

Explaining the move, Jasmeet Singh, Chief Commercial Officer – Holidays & Experiences at MakeMyTrip, said, “Anyone who has planned a Europe trip knows the hassle: one website for your train tickets, another for a museum, and a third for a city bus tour, all in different currencies. We're fixing that. Our goal is to take the stress out of planning so travellers can focus on the magic of the trip itself. By bringing global leaders onto our platform, we're not just selling tickets; we're helping our customers build their dream itineraries with a few simple clicks.”

MakeMyTrip said its Europe holiday packages usually include six to eight pre-booked activities. The newly added brands are already popular among travellers heading to Europe. Around 20% of travellers choose Big Bus Tours across more than 15 cities, with Paris and London seeing the highest demand. About 30% of travellers visiting Switzerland book Jungfrau experiences, while over 75% use Rail Europe for at least one point-to-point train ticket, with the Swiss Travel Pass being the most preferred option. Entertainment attractions are also seeing growth, with over 20% of travellers selecting Merlin Entertainments experiences such as Madame Tussauds, SEA LIFE and the London Eye.

The latest partnerships build on MakeMyTrip’s wider push to integrate experiences into the travel booking process. Last year, the company launched a dedicated Tours & Attractions platform that allows travellers to choose from over 200,000 activities and experiences across 1,100 cities around the world.
