Effective December 2026, Akasa Air will operate its flights between Mumbai and Jeddah from Navi Mumbai International Airport.

Akasa Air has announced the shifting of its Mumbai-Jeddah flight operations from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) to Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) from December 2026, as the Mumbai Metropolitan Region develops its dual-airport system.

The airline and Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) announced the phased transition today. The move will strengthen international connectivity from Navi Mumbai and expand travel options for passengers flying between the Mumbai region and Saudi Arabia.

Bookings for the Mumbai-Jeddah flights operating from Navi Mumbai International Airport opened on October 26, 2026. The shift builds on Akasa Air’s existing operations at Navi Mumbai International Airport. Moving its Jeddah services to the new airport is expected to contribute to NMIA’s development as an important aviation gateway for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

The region’s dual-airport system is intended to provide travellers with greater choice and more convenient access to air travel as operations develop across both airports.

For passengers travelling to Jeddah, the change means that Akasa Air’s Mumbai-Jeddah services will depart from Navi Mumbai International Airport rather than Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport from December 2026. Travellers planning their journeys will need to check their tickets and flight details carefully to ensure they reach the correct airport. Passengers should also account for their onward travel arrangements when planning journeys to and from the airport.
