Air India will add four weekly flights between Sydney and Delhi from December 5

Air India will add four weekly flights between Sydney and Delhi from December 5, 2026, taking the airline’s services on the route from seven to 11 per week.

The year-round increase will add around 170,000 seats annually in the Sydney market, giving passengers more flight options between Australia and India.

From December 5, Air India will deploy its larger Boeing 777-300ER on selected Sydney-Delhi services. The airline will upgrade all Sydney flights to the aircraft from January 1, 2027.

As Air India marks 70 years of connecting Sydney and India, Sydney Airport shared this update in a post on X.

The additional services will also strengthen connections between Australia, India, the UK and Europe.
