Air India and Singapore Airlines expand strategic partnership

Air India and Singapore Airlines (SIA) are set to expand their commercial cooperation from October 15, giving customers more flight options between India and Singapore and widening reciprocal benefits for frequent flyer members.

The first phase of initiatives under their Commercial Cooperation Framework Agreement, signed in January 2026, will cover 126 weekly flights between Singapore and eight Indian cities (Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata and Mumbai).

From October 15, eligible flights operated by either airline can be booked separately through the other carrier’s website, mobile app and appointed travel agencies. The change removes the current requirement to combine an Air India-operated codeshare flight with an SIA-operated flight, or vice versa.

The airlines also plan to enhance benefits for Maharaja Club and KrisFlyer members. From the second quarter of 2027, Maharaja Club Platinum and KrisFlyer PPS Club members will receive priority check-in and boarding. Maharaja Club Silver and KrisFlyer Elite Silver members will also receive additional baggage allowance and priority boarding on eligible routes.
