Air India partners with WestJet to expand North America connectivity
Air India has entered into an interline partnership with WestJet to expand travel options between India and North America. The agreement allows passengers to book single-ticket journeys combining flights of both airlines, offering seamless connections beyond Toronto and Vancouver to more than 30 destinations across Canada and the United States.

Single-ticket travel, wider network access

Under the partnership, travellers flying with Air India to Toronto or Vancouver can connect onward on WestJet flights to 17 Canadian and 14 US cities. The arrangement includes coordinated baggage handling and simplified transfers, aimed at improving the overall travel experience.

Destinations in Canada include Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa and Halifax, while US connections cover cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles and Atlanta.

Strong existing operations to support expansion

Air India currently operates 17 weekly non-stop flights to Canada, including services to Toronto and Vancouver.

It also runs multiple weekly flights to European hubs such as London, Paris and Amsterdam, which can support onward connectivity.

“Canada continues to be a key market for Air India, driven by strong people-to-people ties and increasing trade between our nations. By partnering with WestJet, we are making travel across North America more accessible and effortless for our guests, with coordinated baggage handling, single-ticket convenience, and a far wider choice of destinations,” said Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer at Air India.
