Air India Express has restored services to all destinations across its West Asia network with the resumption of flights to Salalah in Oman and Kuwait. Flights between Kozhikode and Salalah resumed on July 2, while services between Kozhikode and Kuwait will restart on July 3. The airline will also resume Bengaluru-Kuwait flights from July 4, with frequencies increasing in phases over the coming days.

The airline said the resumption restores connectivity across its West Asia network after recent disruptions. Passengers can book tickets through the airline's website, mobile app and other major booking channels.

Services to increase in phases

The Kozhikode-Salalah route will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.


Flights between Kozhikode and Kuwait will initially operate once a week from July 3 before increasing to three weekly services from July 5.

Air India Express will also reinstate flights between Muscat and Mangaluru from July 3. The airline currently operates around 40 weekly flights from Muscat to seven destinations in India.

Meanwhile, Bengaluru-Kuwait flights will begin with one weekly service from July 4 and expand to three weekly flights from July 7. All Air India Express flights to and from Kuwait will operate from Terminal 4 at Kuwait International Airport.

Expanding West Asia network

Air India Express now operates flights to 13 destinations across Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The airline currently operates around 780 weekly flights between India and West Asia, connecting 18 Indian cities with the region.

The airline has recently added new routes connecting Navi Mumbai-Abu Dhabi, Guwahati-Abu Dhabi, Guwahati-Dubai, Bengaluru-Phuket, and Pune-Amritsar.

Following these additions, Air India Express now operates around 415 weekly flights from Bengaluru to 30 domestic and seven international destinations. From Kozhikode, the airline operates around 85 weekly flights, connecting the city with 13 destinations across West Asia and Bengaluru.
