Vietnam opens visa facilitation centre in Jaipur
JAIPUR: The Embassy of Vietnam opened visa facilitation centre here today in collaboration with Cox and Kings Global Services, in an attempt to increase tourist flow to the country from Rajasthan.

The centre will collect the applications from the state which will later be assessed and processed by the Embassy in New Delhi.

"The arrangement is to facilitate the applicants from Rajasthan, who will not need to come to Delhi for the visa purpose," Tran Quang Tuyen, Minister- Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, told reporters here after inaugurating the centre.

He said that the applicants will find it convenient to submit their application in the Jaipur office.

Kamaljeet Singh, Operations Head of Cox and Kings Global Services, said that Jaipur Centre is third such centre of the company authorised by Vietnam to take visa applications after Kolkata and Chandigarh. "Another centre will be opened in Ahemdabad," he said.

He said that opening up of the centres was aimed at increasing Indian tourist flow to Vietnam, which stood at about 55,000 last year.

This year, we expect 75,000 Indian tourists to visit Vietnam and these centres will play an important role in increasing the tourists flow from India to Vietnam, he said.
