NRIs with Indian passports asked to enrol as voters

PHAGWARA: A directive issued by the district electoral office here asked NRIs with Indian passports to enrol as voters.

NRI voters will be enlisted on the directives of Kapurthala Deputy Commissioner cum District Electoral Officer DS Mangat, Phagwara Sub-divisional Magistrate cum Electoral Registration Officer S K Singla said here today.

In order to enrol maximum NRIs as voters, the officer said they should meet the concerned officials.

"We want to enrol maximum NRIs as voters and they can meet me or Tehsildar/Naib-Tehsildar cum Assistant Electoral Registration officers and get themselves enlisted as voters," Singla said.
