New UK visa application centre formally opened in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD: The British Deputy High Commissioner for Hyderabad Andrew McAllister today formally opened the UK and Ireland's new Visa Application Centre (VAC) on Banjara Hills Road here.

"Last year UK saw a 17 per cent increase in the number of visit visas issued to Indian nationals and we hope to see the numbers continue to grow as more Indian visitors choose the UK for their next holiday," McAllister said, adding that last year the Indian visitors spent £444m in the UK.

The new VAC will make it easier for customers planning a European holiday or business trip to apply for their UK and Schengen visa at the same time, as the Schengen VAC is located in the same premises, he said in a statement.
