Indian students who want to study in Germany for a Master's degree must submit the following documents:

1. Your previous education qualifications are the first documents you will need. But be careful. Not all foreign qualifications are recognized by the German education system.
2. Language Proficiency: As an Indian student, you will need to submit scores of a standardized language proficiency test. Almost all undergraduate courses in Germany are offered in German. So in case you’re planning to attend such a course, you will have to learn German.
3. Resume: Depending on the type and the academic level of your course, your resume may be required. The university will expect you to describe your skills important for the study field you’re applying for.

To apply for a student visa, you will need to submit the following documents, along with your passport.
- The University’s admission letter
- University Entrance Qualification
- Proof of Financial Resources (Indian students in German universities must have at least €861 per month or €10,332 per year in possession.)
- Health Insurance
- Certificate of Language Proficiency
