The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research said both public and private higher education institutions have completed readiness measures, including campus preparations, updated safety protocols, and staff training, allowing students to return to classrooms from Monday.
Hybrid learning option remains
The move comes alongside a similar decision by the Ministry of Education to restart in-person learning across schools, nurseries, and kindergartens on the same date, signalling a system-wide transition back to physical classes. The ministry said, “certain private higher education institutions will have the flexibility to implement hybrid and remote learning models when needed.”
Authorities added that institutions must follow approved regulations while considering their readiness and academic requirements to ensure smooth implementation.
Universities have been asked to continue monitoring operational plans in coordination with government authorities to maintain safety and quality standards during the transition.
Officials said the decision ends uncertainty over the duration of remote learning and gives students time to prepare for a return to campuses.
