Top 7 Masters in Management Schools 2026, based on FT Rankings - See where India stands

The FT Masters in Management 2026 ranking puts the University of St Gallen at the top spot, followed by Nova School of Business and Economics and Shanghai Jiao Tong University: Antai. India has 14 schools in the global top 100, with IIM Bangalore leading the country at 21st position. IIM Ahmedabad, meanwhile, recorded the highest weighted salary among Indian schools at $199,706.

The University of St Gallen has retained the No. 1 position in the Financial Times Masters in Management 2026 ranking. The Swiss school leads a list of 100 programmes and remains ahead of institutions from Portugal, China and France. Its weighted salary three years after graduation stands at $150,490, according to the FT data. St Gallen has remained a leading name in the global MiM rankings.

Portugal’s Nova School of Business and Economics has secured the second position in the FT Masters in Management 2026 ranking. It moved ahead of Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Antai programme to take the No. 2 spot globally. Nova is among the top two schools in this year’s ranking, placing Portugal alongside Switzerland at the top of the global list of 100 programmes.

Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Antai programme ranks third globally in the FT Masters in Management 2026 list. The Chinese school is the highest-ranked institution from China and sits ahead of three French schools in the top seven. Its position also places China among the countries represented at the top of the global management education rankings.

Insead has secured the fourth position in the FT Masters in Management 2026 ranking. The France-based programme is the highest-ranked French school in this year’s top seven. It is followed by HEC Paris and ESCP Business School. Insead’s fourth-place finish puts France among the strongest countries in the ranking, with several institutions featuring in the upper part of the global table.

HEC Paris ranks fifth globally in the FT Masters in Management 2026 ranking. The French business school is one of three institutions from France in the top seven, alongside Insead and ESCP Business School. HEC Paris remains among the leading names in management education, with its MiM programme positioned inside the global top five in the latest Financial Times ranking.

ESCP Business School has been placed joint sixth in the FT Masters in Management 2026 ranking. The French institution shares the position with Belgium’s Vlerick Business School. ESCP is the third French school in the top seven, giving France a strong presence near the top of the global table. The school ranks ahead of Spain’s IESE Business School at No. 8.

Belgium’s Vlerick Business School is joint sixth in the FT Masters in Management 2026 ranking. It shares the position with ESCP Business School of France. Vlerick’s top-seven finish puts Belgium among the countries represented at the highest level of the global MiM rankings. The school is followed by IESE Business School of Spain, which ranks eighth.

India has 14 schools in the FT Masters in Management 2026 ranking, the second-highest number for any country after France. IIM Bangalore is the highest-ranked Indian school at No. 21, followed by SPJIMR at 26 and IIM Ahmedabad at 27. IIM Ahmedabad reported the highest weighted salary among Indian schools, at $199,706 three years after graduation.
