International students in the UK will no longer need to complete police registration
Students remaining in the UK for longer than six months have so far had to register their details including place of study with the local police and also pay a fee. The Home Office withdrew the rule on August 4, effective immediately.

According to the official notification, the change also applies to current students who have submitted their details to the police, and those who have a condition to register with the police in order to leave or remain in the UK.
