1) Shalini Vadhera Celebrity make-up artist and cosmetics entrepreneur
Vadhera started as a make-up artist for famous Hollywood stars such as Brooke Burke, Cybill Shepherd etc. She later founded the $21-million cosmetics firm Global Goddess Beauty. Author of the bestseller, Passport to Beauty, she has also served as a consultant to Fortune 500 brands such as Olay and Revlon.

3) David Batra Popular Swedish stand-up comedian and TV actor
Batra was born in Sweden to an Indian father and Swedish mother. He began dabbling in stand-up comedy in 1994 and has played a leading role in a series on national TV. He has done numerous shows in in countries such as Denmark, Finland, Norway, Russia, Spain and the US. Has a masters in marketing.

The Indian Australian is credited with cutting-edge research in number theory. He is the only Australian to have won medals at both the International Physics Olympiad and International Mathematics Olympiad when he was all of 12. The MIT alumnus is a professor at Stanford University, US.
7) Tejpal Jheeta Master bespoke tailor at Savile Row
Jheeta is master bespoke tailor at Savile Row, the world famous street in central London, and boasts his own label. He trained as a pilot in India and immigrated to London in 1996. He is the first Sikh designer at Savile Row and has a very impressive client list, including Sachin Tendulkar & LN Mittal.
8) Jasbir Singh Dutch politician & lawyer
He is the first person of Indian origin to be elected to a local government body in the Netherlands. A lawyer by profession, Singh is the director of the law firm Roest Singh Advocates. He is also president of the think tank Foundation for Critical Choices for India and founder-president of the Foundation for Indian Diaspora in Europe.
9) Manny Malhotra Indo-Canadian professional ice hockey player
Emmanuel Noveen Malhotra captains the Vancouver Canucks of the North American National Hockey League. Has a stellar record in the NHL, having starred for the Dallas Stars, Columbus Blue Jackets, San Jose Sharks and New York Rangers. He joined the NHL from the Ontario Hockey League.
10) Ash Singh CEO of Angel's Gate, reality business TV show in Singapore
Singh has Indian blood, Chinese education and Asian business experience. He moved to Singapore from Canada eight years ago after selling his software company. He has since established a number of diverse businesses. He has built a solid reputation as one of the most successful serial entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia.

11) Kantilal Jamnadas Founder of Portugal’s largest baked goods company
Jamnadas moved to Portugal in 1976 from Mozambique and set up his first industrial production plant in Portugal in collaboration with a Danish company. He founded Dan Cake, a family-owned business, which today is one of the largest butter cookie producers in the world.
12) Rohini Dey Restaurateur, former economist and consultant
She worked with the World Bank and McKinsey before entering the restaurant business. She set up Vermilion, an Indo-Latin American cuisine restaurant, first in Chicago and then in New York. Both are upscale and popular and frequented by celebrities. Author Salman Rushdie and tech entrepreneur Sabeer Bhatia are investors.
13) Nitin Sawhney British Indian musician, producer, composer and DJ
Sawhney, known for combining Asian influences with jazz and electronica, is one of the most sought-after composers in the London music circuit. He is also a connoisseur of arts and culture. Sawhney has scored for more than 40 films. He is also a DJ at the London club, Fabric.
