Parkash Singh Badal hails victory of 8 Indo-Canadian MPs in federal elections

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today congratulated the eight Indo-Canadian MPs, who have emerged victorious in the recently held elections for the Canadian Parliament.

In his message, Badal said that the victory of these MPs has once again proved that the Punjabis could achieve success in any field with hard work and honesty.

He asserted that these MPs would play a significant role in the overall development of their native state along with that of Canada.

Badal also hoped that they would raise the issues concerning the people of Punjab at an appropriate forum to attract the global attention, if needed.

He also congratulated the Punjabis settled in Canada for showing overwhelming response in the democratic process by taking part in the elections.

The representatives of Punjabi community including Param Gill, Deepak Obhrai, Davinder Shory, Nina Grewal, Jasbir Sandhu, Tim Uppal, Jinny Sims and Bal Gosal have emerged victorious in the elections held.
