WASHINGTON: A top Indian official in Chicago has asked the Indian-American community in the city to participate in the development-centric initiatives by the Indian government.

Indian governments flagship programmes as " Make in India", " Skills India", " Swatch Bharat Abhiyan", " Digital India", " Startup India", and "Green India" would give a big boost to the growth trajectory of the country, said Ausaf Sayeed, Consul General of Indian Consulate in Chicago.

Addressing a large gathering during the Republic Day celebrations on Tuesday, Sayeed called upon the Indian-Americans to proactively participate in all the ambitious development-centric initiatives of the government of India.
