Oman has approved a revised schedule of fees for citizenship applications and nationality-related services, with the changes already in effect from January 4, 2026, according to details published in the Sultanate’s Official Gazette, as reported by Gulf News.

New fee structure

Under the new structure, applicants seeking Omani citizenship will have to pay OMR 600 per application. The same fee applies to foreign women married to Omani nationals, widows or divorced spouses of Omani citizens, and minor children of Omani women submitting citizenship requests.

The decision also sets a fee of OMR 200 for applications related to the withdrawal or relinquishment of Omani nationality.

Authorities said the revised fees are part of efforts to standardise administrative procedures governing nationality services across the country. According to the Gulf News report, officials clarified that there are no changes to eligibility conditions or legal requirements for citizenship or nationality matters, and the decision applies only to application and service charges.
