Kuwait has set a limit of three personal vehicles that foreign residents can own, the Ministry of Interior has clarified. According to a Gulf News report, the rule applies to all types of personal vehicles, including cars, pickup trucks and motorcycles, according to traffic authorities.

Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Bouhassan, Assistant Director of the Traffic Awareness Department, said foreign residents are allowed to keep and renew registrations for vehicles they already own, as long as the total number does not exceed three. He said registering any additional vehicle beyond this limit will not be allowed.

The clarification is part of the ministry’s move to regulate vehicle ownership and manage traffic more effectively.

Authorities said the step is aimed at ensuring compliance with existing transport rules while improving overall traffic management in the country.
