A talent visa is offered to highly skilled professionals, distinguished athletes and artistes, and people with advanced degrees. These may be permanent, or will at least make getting a PR in the country much easier.


1. Global Talent Visa (United Kingdom)
The Global Talent Visa was announced as a replaced for the Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa.

Why you should consider it

• You don't have to sit for the IELTS
• You can seek permanent residency after staying in the country for 3 years
• If your dependents meet certain requirements, you can move along with them
• You can change organizations, jobs, and places without worry
• There is no minimum salary requirement to avail this visa

2. O-1 Visa (United States)
The O1 visa is a non-resident US visa for people who demonstrate extraordinary ability in their field, whether that be the arts, sport, business, education, or the sciences.

The O1 visa could be considered the non-resident equivalent of the EB1-1 ( the “Extraordinary Ability Green Card”, which gives permanent residency).

3. Global Talent Independent Program (Australia)
The GTI or Global Talent Visa Program is a streamlined visa pathway for highly skilled professionals to work and live permanently in Australia.

Why you should consider it

• There is also no age limit for applicants
• You do not need an Australian employer to sponsor you with a job
• It is not a point tested visa
• You do not need exceptional English skills. You need a score of 4.5 on the IELTS or similar
• You can apply for this from India
• This visa allows you to stay in Australia permanently
• You can live and work anywhere in Australia indefinitely
• You may enrol in Australia’s public health care program
• Your children will receive free State schooling
