Lithuania resumed air traffic at Vilnius Airport early on Wednesday following a shutdown the previous day, the airport said in a statement.

The closure late on Tuesday was triggered when dozens of smugglers' balloons flying from neighbouring Belarus entered the capital airspace, the country's National Crisis Management Centre (NCMC) said.
