Vietnam Airlines set to fly non-stop between Hanoi and Ahmedabad from November 2026

Vietnam Airlines has announced the beginning of nonstop flights between Hanoi and Ahmedabad on November 3, 2026, adding another direct air link between India and Vietnam as travel between the two countries grows. The airline will operate four round trips a week on the route using Airbus A321 aircraft. With the addition of Ahmedabad, its scheduled services to India will increase to 25 round trips a week across seven routes.

As per the details shared, flights will leave Hanoi at 5.35 pm and arrive in Ahmedabad at 9.30 pm local time. The return service will depart Ahmedabad at 10.45 pm and reach Hanoi at 4.35 am the following day. Flights in both directions will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Ahmedabad will be Vietnam Airlines’ fifth destination in India, joining Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The airline serves the Indian market from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The new route comes amid an increase in Indian visitors to Vietnam. The country received more than 670,000 Indian visitors in the first nine months of 2026, up 33 per cent year on year. India is currently Vietnam’s eighth-largest source market for international visitors. Demand is also extending beyond Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with destinations such as Da Nang and Phu Quoc attracting Indian travellers.

Nguyen Quang Trung, Executive Vice President of Vietnam Airlines, said: “Expanding our network in India remains a strategic priority as we strengthen direct air links between the two countries. The launch of the Hanoi to Ahmedabad route opens up new opportunities in western India, supporting tourism, trade and economic cooperation with Gujarat and across India.”

The airline has expanded its international network in 2026, launching services to Amsterdam, Colombo and Phuket. It has also increased flight frequencies on existing routes to Munich, Moscow, Taipei, Osaka, Tokyo and Seoul.
