NCEMA urged people to remain in a safe place and follow warnings and updates issued through official sources.
“The air defense system has detected a missile threat on the country. Please remain in a safe place and follow warnings and updates from official sources,” NCEMA said in its alert on X.
The UAE Defence Ministry said the two ballistic missiles were launched from Iran. It said one missile fell outside the UAE's territorial waters, while the second fell inside the country's territorial waters.
No further details were immediately provided on the impact or damage from the missiles.
