Under the new pricing, Super 98 petrol will rise to Dh3.39 per litre, up from Dh2.59 in March. Special 95 petrol will cost Dh3.28 per litre, compared to Dh2.48 previously. E-Plus petrol will be priced at Dh3.20 per litre, increasing from Dh2.40 last month.

Diesel has recorded the sharpest jump, climbing to Dh4.69 per litre from Dh2.72.
The revised rates will come into effect from April 1, 2026.
Fuel prices in the UAE are benchmarked to global markets, a system in place since the country deregulated retail fuel pricing in 2015. Instead of fixed government rates, prices are revised every month to reflect international trends.

The Fuel Price Committee calculates domestic rates based on average global crude and refined fuel prices. While benchmarks such as Murban crude play a role, they are part of a wider basket of international pricing indicators rather than the sole determinant.
As a result, fuel costs for consumers tend to track global oil cycles, typically with a short lag as monthly averages feed into the revisions.
