The richest NRIs in the world, according to Hurun India Rich List 2025

Non-Resident Indian (NRI) billionaires continue to play a central role in global business, with the USA, UAE and UK being the hub for some of the wealthiest overseas Indians. According to M3M, Hurun India Rich List 2025 highlights leaders across industries such as steel, technology, resources, and retail who have built fortunes beyond Indian borders.

At the top of the list, Gopichand Hinduja and family retain their position as the richest NRIs with a wealth of ₹1,85,310 crore, followed closely by steel tycoon LN Mittal and family at ₹1,75,390 crore. Tech entrepreneur Jay Chaudhry, founder of Zscaler in San Jose, ranks third with ₹1,46,470 crore, reflecting the strength of Indian-origin entrepreneurs in the global technology sector.

The report also shows diversification across industries and geographies. From resource-based businesses to IT and retail, NRI billionaires span continents—from London and Monaco to San Francisco, Melbourne, Abu Dhabi, and Miami. Their wealth and enterprises underline the global reach of Indian-origin entrepreneurs.
