Singapore issues advisory as pollution worsens in Delhi NCR

The Singapore High Commission in New Delhi has issued an advisory for Singapore nationals in the Delhi National Capital Region after India’s Central Pollution Control Board invoked Stage 4 of the Graded Response Action Plan on December 13, 2025. The move brings the highest level of pollution curbs across the region, with restrictions on construction and industrial activity and possible disruptions to air travel.

The advisory also flagged likely flight disruptions due to low visibility. It said flights to and from the Delhi National Capital Region may be affected, and noted that Indira Gandhi International Airport and several airlines have issued advisories. Travellers were asked to check with their airlines for updates.



“In light of the Indian Central Pollution Control Board invoking Stage 4 of the Graded Response Action Plan, the Singapore High Commission has issued the following advisory for Singapore nationals in the Delhi NCR. - HC Wong”

Under GRAP Stage 4, authorities have restricted construction and industrial work. Schools and offices are encouraged to move to a hybrid format. The Delhi authorities have urged residents to stay indoors, especially children and people with respiratory or cardiac conditions, and to use masks when stepping out. The High Commission asked Singapore nationals in the region to pay heed to this advice.
