Second Dubai–Tel Aviv flydubai flight returns to Dubai

A second flydubai flight travelling from Dubai to Tel Aviv has diverted and is now returning to Dubai, flight-tracking platform Flightradar24 reported.

The flight, FZ1081, changed course during its journey and began heading back to Dubai. The reason for the diversion was not immediately clear.

The development comes after another flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv made an emergency landing at Tabuk airport in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday following a reported altercation between the pilots.

That aircraft transmitted emergency code 7700 before sending code 7500, which indicates hijacking or unlawful interference. A hijacking was later reportedly ruled out. The pilots were injured and hospitalised, according to the airport.
