Kenya's civil aviation authority on Thursday temporarily suspended operations at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport due to a security situation, it said in a statement.

The aviation authority said the situation arose when a crowd of mourners at the airport to receive the body of opposition leader Raila Odinga accessed restricted areas of the airport.
