Residents across Dubai received an emergency alert on their mobile phones on Friday warning of potential missile threats and urging them to immediately seek shelter.

The alert, issued by the UAE Ministry of Interior, advised residents to move to the nearest secure building and avoid exposed areas.

“Due to the current situation, potential missile threats, seek immediate shelter in the closest secure building and steer away from windows, doors and open areas,” the message said.


The advisory comes amid heightened regional tensions in the have begun gradually restoring limited operations after days of disruptions, while relief flights and repatriation services continue to help stranded passengers.
