IndiGo to start direct Guwahati-Bangkok flights from October 27

The airline will operate the service twice a week, with a special inaugural flight on October 27. From October 31, flights will operate every Wednesday and Saturday, subject to regulatory approvals.
The route will connect Northeast India with Thailand and support leisure and business travel, tourism, trade and cultural exchange between the two regions. It is also expected to strengthen Guwahati’s role as an international gateway to Southeast Asia.
For IndiGo, the launch marks a new phase in its operations from Guwahati. The city has been part of the airline’s network since its early years, including its inaugural Delhi-Guwahati-Imphal flight in 2006.
Customers can book tickets through IndiGo’s website, mobile application and authorised travel partners.

Thailand is among the most popular international destinations for Indian travellers. IndiGo currently connects Bangkok with Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai.
The airline also operates direct flights to Phuket from Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai, and to Krabi from Delhi.
IndiGo will begin direct flights between Gaya and Bangkok from October 26, connecting Thailand with one of Buddhism’s key pilgrimage destinations.
IndiGo operates more than 2,200 daily flights with a fleet of over 430 aircraft. Its network covers more than 95 domestic and 40 international destinations. The airline said it carried over 123 million customers in FY26.
