IndiGo suspends Kuwait flights until further notice due to airspace closure

IndiGo has suspended all flights to and from Kuwait until further notice following the continued closure of Kuwaiti airspace and directions issued by authorities in the Gulf nation. The airline said passengers should check their flight status before heading to the airport as operations remain disrupted.

In a travel advisory issued on X, IndiGo said the suspension would remain in place until further notice as it continues to monitor the situation in coordination with aviation authorities. The airline stated that the safety of passengers and crew remains its top priority.

The airline acknowledged the inconvenience caused to travellers and said its teams are available to assist affected customers with travel-related support, including changes to travel plans. Passengers have also been advised to verify the latest flight information before leaving for the airport.

The latest advisory comes after flight operations at Kuwait International Airport were disrupted following a recent attack that prompted authorities to maintain restrictions on air traffic and keep parts of the country's airspace closed.

Earlier, IndiGo had announced a temporary suspension of flights to and from Kuwait after authorities shut the airspace. The airline said it was closely monitoring developments and would resume operations once conditions permit.

The airline has not announced a timeline for the resumption of services and said further updates will be provided as the situation evolves.

For now, passengers booked on Kuwait-bound or Kuwait-origin flights have been advised to stay in touch with the airline and monitor official updates regarding schedule changes and service restoration.
