IndiGo starts repatriation flights to Jeddah, Muscat; plans 13 return services as Gulf situation evolves

IndiGo has begun repatriation flights amid the evolving situation in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf, coordinating with relevant authorities in India and respective governments.

The airline said four flights are currently en route to Jeddah, while one flight is expected to operate to and from Muscat later in the day.

From March 4, 2026, IndiGo said it expects to offer more scheduled flights and additional seat capacity as part of a phased restoration plan. The airline will reinstate select services in line with prevailing airspace conditions and necessary regulatory approvals.


The destinations being gradually restored include Muscat, Jeddah, Madinah in the Middle East, and Athens in Europe. In total, the airline plans to operate 13 return flights, amounting to 26 sectors, under the revised schedule.

For March 4, repatriation flights to stations in the United Arab Emirates are also being considered. However, the airline said these services will depend on local conditions and required approvals, and confirmation will be issued later.

IndiGo added that it is closely monitoring developments at other stations and working with authorities to secure slots and permits to progressively normalise operations. The airline continues to update passengers through its social media platforms and website.

Reiterating its focus on operational safety, the carrier said the safety and security of its customers, crew and aircraft remain its top priority amid the volatile regional situation.
