The embassy said existing service providers, BLS International, which currently manages passport and visa services, and SGIVS Global, which handles attestation services, will stop accepting new applications after the close of business on June 25.
As a result, routine appointments for passport, visa and attestation services will not be available between June 26 and June 30.
Emergency services to continue
The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai will continue to provide emergency passport, visa and attestation services during the five-day suspension. Applicants requiring urgent assistance can contact Indian missions through the toll-free number 800 INDIA (800 46342), WhatsApp at +971 54 309 0571, or by email.The embassy also said Al Hind Tours and Travel will launch a new online appointment portal on July 1, coinciding with the start of its services. Indian nationals in the UAE have been advised to rely only on official communication channels of the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai for updates related to the transition.
Earlier, Indian missions in the UAE confirmed that Al Hind would operate a network of 16 consular service centres across all seven emirates.
