The Embassy of India in Tehran on April 8 advised Indian nationals in Iran to leave the country at the earliest, citing recent developments. The advisory asks citizens to coordinate with the embassy and use only the routes it recommends for exit.

The embassy said the latest notice follows an earlier advisory issued on April 7. It stated that Indians who are still in Iran should “expeditiously exit Iran, in coordination with the Embassy and using the routes suggested by the Embassy.”

Avoid borders without Embassy clearance

The advisory also warned against any independent travel to border areas. “There should be no attempt to approach any international land border without prior consultation and coordination with the Embassy,” it said.

The mission has shared emergency contact details for assistance. It listed multiple mobile numbers and an official email ID for Indian nationals seeking help.

The latest advisory comes amid evolving conditions in the region. The embassy continues to monitor the situation and has asked citizens to remain in touch for further updates.
