US-Israel strike in Tehran: India issues advisory, urges Indians to exercise 'utmost caution'
The Embassy of India in Tel Aviv has issued a security advisory urging Indian nationals in Israel to exercise “utmost caution” in view of the prevailing security situation in the region.

In a post on X on February 28, the mission advised Indians to remain vigilant at all times and strictly follow safety guidelines issued by Israeli authorities and the Home Front Command.

Key instructions for Indian nationals

The embassy has advised Indian citizens to:

  • Stay in close proximity to designated shelters and familiarise themselves with the nearest protected spaces at their residence or workplace.

  • Avoid all non-essential and unnecessary travel within Israel until further notice.

  • Monitor local news, official announcements and emergency alerts regularly.

The advisory also directed nationals to updated safety instructions available on Israel’s Home Front Command website.

24x7 helpline activated

For emergencies, the embassy has activated a 24x7 helpline and shared contact details, including a local mobile number and a dedicated email address for consular assistance.

The mission said it remains closely engaged with relevant authorities and will continue to issue updates as required.

The advisory comes due to heightened regional tensions following Israel’s closure of civilian airspace and reports of military escalation involving Iran.

Indian authorities have not announced any evacuation plans so far but are maintaining close monitoring of the situation.
