Dubai Marina area incident: Authorities say no fire or injuries from falling debris in facade of bulding

Dubai authorities reported an incident in the Marina area where facade of a building was hit by debris from an aerial interception. No fire or injuries were reported from the incident.

"Authorities confirm that they responded to an incident caused by debris from an aerial interception that fell onto the façade of a building in the Dubai Marina area. No fire or injuries were reported," Dubai Media Office said in a post on X.

Dubai Marina is a residential neighbourhood and also attracts tourists to sites, including the Dubai Marina Mall.


Soon after the incident at Marine area, the authority reported an incident resulting from the fall of shrapnel on the facade of Oracle's building in Dubai Internet City.

"The competent authorities have confirmed that a minor incident resulting from the fall of shrapnel on the facade of Oracle's building in Dubai Internet City has been handled, as a result of a successful aerial interception, with no injuries recorded," DXM Media Office said.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has faced incidents of fire amid strikes on its energy facilities during the Israel-Iran conflict, which began on February 28.
