Cathay said it had to consolidate a small number of passenger flights from mid-May to June-end despite adjusting fuel surcharges.
Cuts affect nearly 2% of the carrier's total frequencies and 6% of budget arm HK Express's total frequencies.
Cathay also extended suspension of cargo freighter services to Dubai and Riyadh until May-end.

Airline expects passenger demand to remain robust through April, supported by Easter holidays and increased long-haul bookings.
Cathay said it plans to operate all scheduled flights beyond June, subject to developments in the Middle East and jet fuel prices in the coming months.
