BLS International partners with Signzy to enhance fraud detection in visa processing services

BLS International has partnered with fintech company Signzy to strengthen fraud detection and document verification in its visa and consular services, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

Under the partnership, BLS International will integrate Signzy’s document intelligence and deepfake detection capabilities into its document processing ecosystem. The technology will ease verification processes and detect anomalies, tampering and AI-generated forgeries in documents.

The integration will also help to enhance the accuracy, consistency and timeliness of the processing of BLS's operations.

The partnership is part of BLS International’s efforts to expand its technology stack through a combination of in-house capabilities and external technology partners, including AWS and Sypha AI.

“By pairing our in-house innovation with industry leading partnerships, we are building an agile, modular and a future-ready technology stack,” Shikhar Aggarwal, joint managing director at BLS International, said.

The company said the technology will support applicant data protection and provide client governments with greater confidence in application processing. Visa decisions, however, will continue to remain with governments.

Signzy co-founder and business head Arpit Ratan said the partnership would bring its AI-led verification and fraud intelligence capabilities to BLS International’s global visa and citizen services network.

BLS International said its approach is to use technology to flag potential issues, while people verify applications and governments make the final decisions.
