Akasa Air will continue operating flights between Jeddah and several Indian cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kochi and Kozhikode, after reviewing the current situation in the Middle East, the airline said on Sunday.

The airline said it is also evaluating the resumption of services to and from Abu Dhabi based on ongoing safety assessments.

In a post on X, Akasa Air said, "Following our ongoing safety assessment and a review of the prevailing situation in the Middle East, we continue to operate flights to/from Jeddah and Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kochi and Kozhikode. Further, we continue to progressively evaluate resumption of flights to/from Abu Dhabi."

Flights to key Gulf cities remain suspended

The carrier added that flight operations are being conducted based on real-time assessments, and schedules may change depending on the situation.

Flights to and from Doha, Riyadh and Kuwait will remain suspended until April 12, the airline said, adding that it is monitoring developments closely.

"We continue to monitor and assess the situation with respect to these destinations on a real-time basis, and changes, if any, to the flight status for such destinations will be notified accordingly," the airline said.

Akasa Air has also extended its waiver on cancellation and rescheduling charges for passengers travelling to or from these cities until April 12. Travellers can opt for a full refund to the original mode of payment within seven days or reschedule their travel at no additional cost.

"Akasa Air has extended its cancellation/rescheduling charges waiver policy for passengers booked to or from these cities until April 12, 2026. Passengers may opt for a full refund, credited to the original source of payment within 7 days, or reschedule their travel at no additional cost. If your booking was made through a travel partner, please check directly with them for assistance," the airline added.

The airline has asked passengers to check flight status on its official website or mobile application before heading to the airport and contact its customer support centre for assistance.

Reiterating its position, the airline said passenger and crew safety remains its priority and thanked travellers for their understanding.
