Air India announced an additional flight from Milan to Delhi today, October 19, to accommodate passengers affected by the cancellation of flight AI138 on October 17 due to a technical issue.

According to the airline’s statement, the special flight, AI138D will depart from Milan at 7:00 p.m. local time and arrive in Delhi on the morning of October 20.

Over 250 passengers stranded in Milan

An Air India Dreamliner faced a technical issue at Milan Airport on Friday, forcing the cancellation of flight AI138 to Delhi and leaving more than 250 passengers stranded.

The airline said the Boeing 787-8 aircraft required extended technical maintenance, prompting the cancellation. Most affected passengers have been rebooked on flights scheduled for October 20, coinciding with Diwali.
