Air India partners with flydubai to expand global connectivity

Dubai government-owned airline flydubai has signed new interline agreements with Air India and Uzbekistan Airways, giving passengers access to more than 80 additional destinations across Asia, Australia and Europe.

The agreements allow passengers to book single-ticket journeys with through-checked baggage. Travellers from both partner airlines will also get connections to flydubai destinations through Dubai.

With the new partnerships, flydubai’s interline network has grown to 46 airlines. Its combined network now covers more than 300 destinations worldwide.


“Our interline partnerships with Air India and Uzbekistan Airways mark a significant step forward in flydubai’s network expansion strategy, offering our passengers greater choice as they connect through Dubai. Air India brings South Asia, Southeast Asia and Australian markets within reach, while Uzbekistan Airways adds a vital corridor through Central Asia, Russia and into Europe, further strengthening Dubai’s position as a leading hub connecting the East and the West, and reinforcing our ability to boost connectivity to key international markets,” Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, said.

Through Air India, flydubai passengers will be able to reach Indian cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Chandigarh, Goa, Jaipur, Pune and Varanasi.

The partnership will also connect passengers to international destinations including Bali, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Mauritius, Melbourne, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.

Uzbekistan Airways will connect passengers through Tashkent to Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk and Moscow. Its network will also provide access to European cities such as Frankfurt, London, Milan, Munich, Paris and Rome.

Passengers can also travel to Uzbek destinations including Bukhara, Fergana and Urgench.

Interline flights are available through the flydubai and partner airline websites, the official flydubai app, its Contact Centre, flydubai travel shops and travel partners.
