An Air India flight travelling from Frankfurt to Delhi was diverted to Jaipur on Wednesday morning following a perceived security concern, with sources initially reporting a bomb threat and a suspected hijack scare. The aircraft was cleared after security checks and resumed its onward journey to Delhi on Wednesday afternoon.

According to preliminary information provided by a source, the pilot activated "Squawk Code 7500", an internationally designated transponder code indicating unlawful interference, while operating within the Mumbai Flight Information Region (FIR). Following the alert, the flight was diverted to Jaipur.

After landing, all passengers were deplaned under security protocols. Teams from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), local police and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) conducted a comprehensive inspection of the aircraft, passenger luggage and cargo holds.
