MobiKwik has expanded its digital foreign exchange (FX) retail service from one to six currencies
MobiKwik has expanded its digital foreign exchange (FX) retail service from one to six currencies, adding the UAE dirham (AED), Canadian dollar (CAD), British pound (GBP), euro (EUR) and Swiss franc (CHF) to its existing US dollar (USD) offering.

The expansion was announced at the Global Fintech Fest 2026 on Thursday. MobiKwik said it is the only private player offering a multi-currency FX Retail solution in partnership with NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited (NBBL).

The service allows customers to digitally book foreign currency, top up forex cards and remit money overseas. Currency notes can be collected through branches, while remittances can be processed through bank redirection and branch channels.

The offering is powered by NBBL in collaboration with the Clearing Corporation of India Ltd (CCIL) and is available through the Bharat Connect ecosystem.

MobiKwik said its FX Retail service uses live bank-linked pricing, which is aimed at giving customers greater transparency while accessing foreign exchange digitally. Same-day fulfilment is also available, subject to regulatory requirements and service conditions.

The service is available to resident individuals after PAN and primary-account-holder validation. Customers can transact up to $3,000 equivalent per transaction for currency notes and up to $10,000 equivalent for card and remittance services. The limits apply across all six supported currencies.

MobiKwik had launched its digital foreign exchange service at GFF 2025, initially offering USD transactions. NBBL processed forex transactions worth ₹111.91 million during the first four months of FY2026-27 through its Forex category on Bharat Connect.
