Specifically designed for students in the 12-40 age bracket currently pursuing higher education abroad or aspiring to do so, the global student healthcare plan offers comprehensive coverage. HDFC Life International, operating from its Gift City IFSC unit, is presenting this groundbreaking initiative. This unit is the first overseas branch of HDFC International Life and Re, a life and health reinsurer based in DIFC, Dubai.
The plan comes in four options, providing coverage of up to $3 million. It offers flexibility in cover terms, ranging from three months to one year, aligning with the varied durations of international study programs.
The key feature of the plan is its global coverage, ensuring access to top-notch medical facilities worldwide, including a network of hospitals, clinics, doctors, and professionals.
Rahul Prasad, the Chief Executive of HDFC International Life and Re, emphasized the plan's advantages, saying, "The plan enables customers to access top private medical facilities and services while avoiding the conventional hassle of going through lengthy appointment wait times." The policy covers a wide spectrum of medical needs, from routine check-ups to unforeseen emergencies, and includes default dental coverage, home doctor visits, and alternative medicine, among other benefits.
